IA: 05 Reflection on a Guest Speaker

My favorite guest speaker throughout the semester was Rebecca Harris. Rebecca works at Chatham University in the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship, and is the Executive Director of the program.   The link to her LinkedIn page is here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rebecca-harris-03a81114/ .   When she came and visited our class, she discussed how to start a business, and the attributes needed to be successful while doing so. Her lecture about the process of starting a business, relates back to Chapter 5 in our book. It discusses entrepreneurship and the different sectors one can go into when starting a business. Focusing on the core values to help better your business. Rebecca added her insight from all of her previous jobs, which was very helpful.     In addition, this lecture reminded me of some current business news, talking about new and upcoming businesses in the Pittsburgh area.
